Big B gets a portrait of blood on his Birthday

AB: I thank you and your channel, Zoom for the wishes.

R: From every corner of the world your fans come to wish you every year, but is there a certain fan that you recall that comes to wish you every year?

AB: There are a lot, but I cant talk about any certain person because they come from different corners of the country along with their love and affection. The fact that I meet them is a great thing.

R: There are a lot of fans who do crazy stuff, crazy stunts; is there any particular incident that you cannot forget?

AB: They do a lot of things but are also careless. There was an individual who made a portrait of me out of his blood. It is something that will leave you speechless, but its not a good thing. And he said the next time that I will make a full length portrait and he will give out more blood; he shouldnt do things like that. Im glad he thinks about me but no

R: Your father said if its straight from the heart, its good but if its not from the heart its better. Youre a superstar, what do you prefer?

AB: Sometimes its from the heart and sometimes its not. But most of the time its not from heart and we tell him this is done by the grace of God therefore it is good

R: After the media interaction how will you spend your Birthday?

AB: Ill go home and celebrate with my family.

R: What gift has your family given you?

AB: Celebrating with the family is the biggest happiness for me. Thank you.

Big Bs media tycoon role raises eyebrows with media

AB: My strength has always been my wife, my children, my parents, my friends. They are my strength and even you are my strength, the media.
I believe that if you represent a particular electronic channel and if you thought that we will not be associated with him, but Im not certain whether the rest of the media will be part of it.

VO: Why is there a difference of opinion on the media? Should we consider this as another episode of the love-hate relationship with the media?

Big Bs relationship with the media is sometimes sweet and sometimes bitter. So now that AB is going to play a role of a media tycoon in Ram Gopal Varmas Run, this has brought a twist to the love-hate relationship with the media.

AB: There was a misunderstanding earlier in my career, when it was assumed that during the time of the emergency that it was I who was responsible for the ban on the press. It was hogwash; it had no meaning at all. But, because the media did ban me as a result of that misbelief.

VO: Big B precisely talked about this issue. But according to the entertainment industry, they blame it on him. Before the 1975 Emergency, AB was given such an exposure in Cine Magazine that after the super star Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh was considered a big star. But that magazine itself reported on the gossip about him and Zeenat Taman and made it headlines. This started the hate relation with the media and for this reason he had the Emergency. And it is assumed because of his closeness with the Gandhi family he was able to put a ban on magazine and the media banned Big B. And even Big B banned the media and this lasted for 10 years. During the accident of the shooting of Coolie brought the media and Big B together.

AB: I had a very famous accident on the sets of Coolie, there after the media wrote some wonderful things to fight back. I felt it was very generous and sweet of them and we started our relationship.
